Lucy Park Easter Egg Hunt Brings Hundreds of Children

Easter is still weeks away, but Saturday the little ones got to celebrate the holiday early.

Children across the area made their way, with baskets in hand, to Lucy Park to pick out as many eggs as they could.

Thousands of wrapped Easter eggs scattered the grounds and those who came met the Easter bunny and McGruff, the crime fighting dog.

This is an annual event that's held by the Wichita Falls Parks and Rec department, the University Kiwanis club also sponsored the fun-filled day.

This year 140 specially marked eggs contained a special prize for the lucky few who picked those out.
