A great day at a local nightspot raised money for the Children's Aid Society.
Outskirts hosted an almost all day affair, on Sunday, that was filled with live music, great raffles and auction items, all to raise money to benefit the Teen Shelter and Children's Home.
The shelter gives kids and teens a safe place to go and get away from abusive households.
"Every year we try to have this event to actually raise money to buy something that the shelter specifically needs." said Executive Director of The Children's Aid Society Sheila Catron.
The goal this year was at least $10,000 to replace and upgrade furniture that they bought 8 years ago with the money from the first year.
Last year they raised enough to buy a 12-passenger van.
