HS Softball: Graham Upsets #19 Lady Hawks

The Graham Lady Blues made the District 6-3A Softball race a lot tighter with a 2-0 win over visiting #19 Iowa Park Monday night at Lady Blues Stadium.

Macy Nantz struck out 16 Lady Hawks and allowed just one hit to pick up the shutout win for Graham.

The win moves Iowa Park to 5-2 in district play, while Iowa Park falls to 6-1, now tied for first with Burkburnett, whom the Lady Hawks will meet again Friday night in Iowa Park.

Graham will visit Vernon on Friday night.

Burkburnett Blows Out Hirschi

The Burkburnett Lady Bulldogs spotted visiting Hirschi a run Monday night, then scored 17 of their own over the next four innings to put an early end to the District 6-3A matchup in Burkburnett.

Burkburnett improves to 6-1 in district play, with a chance to avenge their lone loss Friday night at Iowa Park, with whom they are tied in the district standings.

Hirschi will host Bowie Friday night at 7 PM at Sunrise Optimist Field 4.

Petrolia Wins, Too
