WFISD Could Charge Parents For Full Day Of Pre-K

Your young kids could be coming home sooner than expected, members of the WFISD Board of Trustees met in a special work session Tuesday afternoon to talk about cutting back to a half-day of pre-k due to the lack of state funds.

In one proposal, parents would have to pay for the extra half day of schooling for their little one.

Board members don't intend to take action until next Monday's meeting. They say even with their approval, tuition rates will still have to be submitted to the Texas Education Agency Commissioner for the final go-ahead.

Tuesday on Newschannel 6 First at Five, we'll have the latest details from the meeting.
