HS Softball: Windthorst Blows Out Bryson

The #17 Windthorst Trojanettes flexed their muscles Tuesday night in Bryson, taking a 33-0 win over the Cowgirls in three innings.

Kelsey Hise was perfect for her three frames in the circle, striking out six to improve to 12-1 on the season. She also was 2/2 at the plate with a triple.

The Trojanettes improve to 22-3 overall and 7-0 in District 8-A. They will host Perrin-Whitt Friday at 5 PM in Windthorst.

Rider Beats Decatur in Non-District

The #20 Rider Lady Raiders defeated Decatur 6-1 Tuesday night in non-district action at Sunrise Optimist Complex.

Sammie Hislop picked up the win in the circle.

Taylor Beeman turned a bunt single into an inside-the-park home run in the fifth inning when the throw to first hit her in the helmet and ricocheted into the deepest corner of right field. Beeman was able to score without a throw, even after momentarily stopping at third.

The Lady Raiders improve to 22-7 overall on the season. They will not have to leave Wichita Falls for the rest of the regular season, with their final three games there.

They host The Colony Friday on Field 1, with JV starting at 4:30 and Varsity around 6 PM.

They will finish next week with Denton Tuesday and Wichita Falls High School on Thursday.

Notre Dame Picks Up Win

The Notre Dame Lady Knights defeated Arlington Fellowship 10-0 in TAPPS District 1-A/2A play Tuesday night in Arlington.

Hayli Otto struck out 12 of the 17 batters she faced to pick up the win.

Catherine Ozier was a perfect 3/3 batting while Rebecca Shine and Joie Otto each went 2/3 from the plate.

The Lady Knights will host rival Watauga Harvest Christian Thursday at 4:30 PM.
