Another Air Traffic Controller Falls Asleep On The Job

A medical plane carrying a sick patient was forced to make an unscheduled landing at Reno-Tahoe International Airport Wednesday.

It appears an air traffic controller was asleep.  The FAA says the controller didn't respond to radio calls for nearly 20 minutes.  The controller in question has been suspended.

In Lubbock the FAA suspended two controllers for failing to hand off control of a departing private plane to the Fort Worth Air Route Traffic Control Center.

Now the FAA is adding a second air traffic controller to the midnight shift at 27 towers nationwide.
