New Population Numbers Lead To New TX District Boundaries

Today the Texas house will get a glimpse of proposed new district boundaries.

The boundaries take new population growth into account.  With skyrocketing growth in minority populations, republicans are bracing for the loss of several incumbents in 2012 after seeing their biggest majority ever this year.

The GOP has an edge in the state house, but numerous republican house members will be pitted against each other in shrinking areas as democrats look to pick up seats.
