Bowie County Sheriff's Deputy Shot Dead

A prison inmate is accused of shooting and killing a sheriff's deputy at the Bowie County Courthouse.  Authorities say Tucker Strickland overpowered the female deputy while she was escorting him to a court hearing.  Investigators believe Strickland shot Deputy Sherri Jones, with her own gun.  Strickland then took off in a county van.  He was captured about a half-hour later in nearby Arkansas.  Strickland will be extradited back to Texas.
