One local organization is helping the American Red Cross in a major way.
Hands to Hands Community Fund presented a check to the local chapter Thursday. The check totaled $10,000 and is to aid in their disaster relief efforts. The money will go towards the 16 counties of Texoma.
Executive Director of the American Red Cross Katrina Farmer said she appreciative of the help. "Every dollars counts and when you get $10,000 at one show it will help you sleep at night knowing we can help more people."
The red cross still needs your help. Other local volunteers continue to help out the Graham, Jacksboro and Mineral Wells areas.
Every contribution helps get the supplies we need like toothbrushes, blankets, clean-up kits and food. A donation of $10.00 supplies blankets for 2 shelter clients or firefighters staying at Red Cross supported shelters. $100 donation covers the fuel to deliver 100 cots to shelters in the counties listed above.
