Graham Finishes Off Hirschi to Force Playoff

The Graham Steers finished off their rain-suspended game against Hirschi Monday afternoon at Hoskins Field, finishing off a 14-0 win.

Garrett Johnston overpowered a junior varsity-laden Hirschi lineup, allowing just one hit in two innings Monday to finish it off.

The one hit came from Huskies senior Joe Barron, who chopped one over the left side of the Steer infield to record a hit in his final high school at-bat.

With the win, Graham (23-7 overall) finishes 8-2 in District 6-3A action, tied with Iowa Park (15-10, 8-2) for the best record in the district.

The two will play a tiebreaker Friday at a site and time to be announced for the district's top seed and first-round bye.

Hirschi finishes 9-13 overall and 2-8 in district play, still good for their best record in years.
