Midwestern State softball is getting set for their postseason, with just three regular-season games to go.
The Mustangs will host their Red River rivals the Cameron Aggies on Friday afternoon at 2 PM.
Before the game there will be a presentation to honor Leroy McIlhaney for his service to the school, starting at 1:30 PM.
Then on Saturday there will be a double-header with game one starting at 1 PM and game two set for 3 PM.
At least one of this weekend's games will likely be a matchup between former Burkburnett HS aces Brittney Tanner of MSU and Carrie Harvey of Cameron.
They have only met twice before as collegiate starting pitchers, with Harvey winning both meetings.
In the latest NFCA Division II Coaches Poll, released Wednesday, the Mustangs stayed number three.
They also stayed #1 in the new South Central Regional rankings.
We talked to them on Wednesday and they talked about both the importance of finishing strong, and the fact that while no clear leader outside of the pitching staff has emerged this year, someone has stepped up every time they've needed it.
