A Texoma man is facing charges today after a weekend accident involving a drunk-driver with children in the vehicle.
35-year-old Johnnie Randall Herring was found by Wichita Falls police officers in the 1400 block of Covington on April 23rd on call of an accident. Officers say Herring had slurred speech and was unable to keep his balance when he tried to exit the vehicle. Police say two children were seated in the back of the car. Herring then admitted to responders that he had consumed alcohol and taken medication before the wreck.
After a field sobriety test, Herring was taken to United Regional Hospital for a medical evaluation. Soon after, police say he was taken to the Wichita County Jail.
