Saturday morning the Fire Department at Sheppard Air Force base hosted regional firefighters for a morning of aircraft training.
Twenty participants were on hand for a topic of transportation emergencies. They familiarized themselves once again with aircraft knowledge like extracting a pilot from the craft. All of the training was complete hands on.
"A lot of the participants don't deal with aircraft, they deal with structures or wildfires, so talking with them this morning, this gives them a great opportunity to come out and see what we do," said Mark DeBoe with Sheppard AFB.
