Wichita Falls City Council Takes Up A Number Of Issues

Wichita Falls city leaders gathered Tuesday to discuss a number of important issues in the Falls. Those discussions included a surcharge on utility bills.
Council members discussed setting a $0.40 per month charge for utility bills delivered through the postal service, but that matter was voted down.
An ordinance was passed for the city manager to apply and accept up to $6-million in FAA grants for the reconstruction of the runway at the Wichita Falls Municipal Airport.
Also on the agenda, several proclamations for May now titled Elder Abuse Awareness and Motorcycle Safety Awareness month.
This week was given special claim as the National Nurse's Week for the MSU Wilson School of Nursing.
