Power Restored Ahead of Schedule In Seymour

The city of Seymour didn't have power for nearly two hours Thursday morning.

The Baylor County Sheriff's Office told Newschannel 6 the outage happened when a Brazos Electric Cooperative substation went offline in Baylor county. Officials said it happened during the 9:00 hour. The Sheriff's Office said power was restored around 11:45 a.m., two hours ahead of schedule.

Seymour ISD schools were dismissed at 10 a.m. because of the power outage.
