HS Softball: Seymour Drops Series Opener to McLean

No. 6 Seymour scored 25 runs in a two-game Bi-District sweep over Olney, but the Lady Panthers could only score a pair of runs to open up a Region I-A Area three-game series against McLean in Altus, Okla.

Amy Hollar scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the first to tie the game at 1-1, but the Lady Tigers scored two runs in the top of the sixth and ended the game with a 5-2 win.

The series resumes Saturday morning at 11:00 for game two, with a third game set for half-an-hour later if needed.

Clampitt Stars for No. 7 City View

City View's Ciara Clampitt struck out 14 batters and drove in the Lady Mustangs' only two runs in a 2-0 win over Caddo Mills to open a Region II-2A Area three-game set at Keller Timber Creek.

Game two is set for tomorrow night at 7:30, with game three scheduled for Saturday afternoon at 1:00 if necessary.

Holliday Goes Down 8-2

The Holliday Lady Eagles lost 8-2 to Callisburg in Springtown to open up a Region II-2A Area three-game series.

The series resumes with game two at 4:00 p.m. Saturday. Game three is 30 minutes later if necessary.

Iowa Park Loses Big

In a Region I-3A Area three-game series opener, Iowa Park lost to Mineral Wells 10-4 in Mineral Wells.

The series shifts to Iowa Park for game two Saturday at 1:00 p.m. If necessary, game three is set for 30 minutes later.
