Archer City Raises Money For Firefighters

A chili cook-off took place in Archer City as well as a Bar-B-Que dinner.

For $10 a plate it entered you into a drawing for a television, lawn mower and gift card.  The event was to raise money for firefighters relief fund--to help injured firefighters.
"You know these guy are volunteers so they need all the help they can get," said Kelly Coleman Economic Development Coordinator for the city.  "They're taking time of out of their life to volunteer for our land, cattle, so we need to support them."

This is the fourth year the city has held the fundraiser and the first year to have vendors.  There were 35 of them out in the town square.
