Two Flights Diverted After Security Scares

UNDATED (AP) - Some airline passengers have found themselves going where they didn't expect to go.

A Delta Air Lines flight from Detroit to San Diego was diverted to Albuquerque, N.M., Sunday because of a security scare. Officials aren't saying what the exact nature of the scare was. But a passenger says the pilot told passengers a note with the word "bomb" on it was found in one of the plane's bathrooms. The FBI says "no suspicious devices" were found on the plane.

Also Sunday, a Continental Airlines flight from Houston to Chicago was diverted to St. Louis after officials say a passenger tried to open a plane door during the flight.

The passenger, described as a 34-year-old man from Illinois, was detained for questioning.
