TAPPS State Tournament: Notre Dame Rally Not Enough

The Notre Dame Lady Knights showed a lot of heart Thursday in Waco, rallying from a 7-1 deficit heading into their final inning of the season to tie the game at 7, but Shiner St. Paul came back to score one more run in the bottom of the inning to take the win.

St. Paul advances to the State Championship Game Friday at Waco ISD's Complex.

Sophomore Hayli Otto struck out six for the Lady Knights, while also going 3/4 with a pair of doubles from the plate.

Rachel Parkey was 2/3 for the Lady Knights, who totaled 13 hits as a team.

Notre Dame finishes the season 15-4 overall, with their second consecutive State Semifinalist finish.
