Semi Truck Rollover On U.S. Highway 287

A semi truck rollover accident caused backed up traffic on U.S. Highway 287.

DPS  Troopers, Iowa Park police and Wichita County Sheriff Deputies all responded to the scene Monday afternoon, on Highway 287 between Fm 369 and Peterson Road.

Troopers said a pilot truck was on the shoulder of U.S. 287, waiting on the oversized truck he was escorting. Troopers said the pilot truck saw the oversized truck coming and attempted to get back into traffic.

Troopers said when the pilot truck started to get back into traffic, a semi truck clipped it from behind, causing the semi to rollover.

Officials said the semi driver suffered an elbow injury. The pilot truck driver was not injured.
