Volunteer Honored For Work With Elderly

A Wichita Falls man was honored Monday for his dedication to working with the elderly.
Adult Protective Services recognized Mack Painter at a special award ceremony this afternoon at University Park Manor.
Painter is a social worker who's been in the industry for 19 years. He has also been active with the Alzheimer's Memory Walk, along with other senior citizen programs.
"I just feel like I've been doing my job and of course as far as me receiving it, it's really the entire team here and at the University Park Manor and that's done the work, I'm usually the point man for Adult Protective Services, but its humbling," said Painter.
Adult Protective Services honors are typically awarded to distinguished citizens, who have provided extraordinary care and service to APS clients.
