HS Baseball: Rider Wins in Three

Rider's seventh-ranked baseball team made it look easy in a 14-0, no-hit victory over Frenship in game one of their Region I-4A Best of 3 Quarterfinal at Hunter Field yesterday.

The Raiders looked to be in control, leading 9-5 going into the top of the seventh of game two. The Tigers had other ideas, scoring five unanswered runs to steal away the game and extend the series.

Rider took a breath and bounced right back with an 11-3 win in game three. The Raiders will play Arlington Heights in the Regional Semifinals.

Archer City wins the battle of Texoma teams

It took a rally for Archer City to top Olney in game one of their Region II-A Best of 3 Quarterfinal.

In Game two at Graham, no such rally was needed. The Wildcats scored four runs in the top of the second, including back-to-back RBI's from Dawson Reid and Carter McGregor, to set the tone early.

Archer City went on to win it 12-4 to sweep the series. The Wildcats will play Dodd City in the Regional Semifinals.
