College Rodeo To Go On Despite Virus

A deadly and contagious virus is spreading among horses. The spreading virus has also forced the cancellation of some rodeos.
The USDA says the outbreak of Equine Herpes Virus 1 started in a Utah competition and now has infected at least 34 horses in 9 states and Canada.
One rodeo isn't canceling just yet.
The College National Finals Rodeo is scheduled in less than three weeks in Wyoming and organizers plan to go ahead with the event that attracts teams from more than 100 colleges from around the nation and Canada. There was also a horse that was tested in Jack County that came back negative. That horse was euthanized. All horse owners are advised to be vigilant.
