Putting "Troops First" In Texoma

The "Troops First" campaign kicked off this afternoon with a special luncheon at the Wichita Falls Country Club, where members of the community were joined by Mayor Glenn Barham.

At the event, Mayor Barham helped to unveil the new program, designed to encourage and support Sheppard Air Force Base personnel. The "Troops First" movement urges residents to promote patriotism by literally putting "troops first," or letting service men and women ahead of you in line at a store or other location.

The campaign officially launches for Wichita County on June 1st lasting until September 11th.

The movement is all part of the "Pride In The Falls" project.
