WFPD K9 Team Recognized

Officer Teddie Whitefield and his K9 partner Ben have received their certification from the United States Police Canine Association.

Whitefield and Ben competed against other law enforcement K9 teams from across the country.  Overall they came in 21st.  THE USPCA K9 certification is considered the most difficult certification to obtain.  The team is judged on the detection of various narcotic odors.

K9 Ben has been with the department since April of 2007 and has been working with Officer Whitefield since May of 2007.
