Two Arrested After Police Say They Caught Them Red Handed

Two men are facing charges of theft after police catch them red handed stealing scrap metal.
Ricky Cole Fowler and Christopher Pierce are both charged with Theft Over $1,500 And Under $20,000.
Police say last Thursday officers got a call to the 900 block of North Beverly for two men stealing metal. When officers arrived the owner of the business told police where the two were. Police saw the men loading metal into a pickup. When they approached the two took off running. They were caught after a short chase and arrested.Officers asked the two why they were stealing the metal. One told them he had just lost his job and was going to sell the scrap for money. The other said he didn't think anyone owned it so he didn't think he was stealing.
