Iowa Park's Clubb Drafted by MLB's Royals

931 players have been taken in the first two days of the 2011 MLB Draft.

About 1/10th of those, 93, were from the state of Texas.

And one of them was from Texoma. Lee Clubb of Iowa Park was drafted in the 27th round, 816th overall, by the Kansas City Royals Tuesday night.

Clubb, who played football, baseball, basketball and track for the Hawks, is committed to play football at Colorado State in the fall.

The 18-year-old Clubb bats left, throws right and is listed by MLB at 5'10" and 185 pounds.

Several players from District 4-4A were also taken Tuesday, including Matt Dean (409th to Toronto) and Jordan Foley (809th to the Yankees) of The Colony and Adam Choplick (514th to Arizona) of Denton Ryan.
