MSU Season Tickets Onsale Now

Football season tickets are now available through the Midwestern State Ticket Office.

The 2011 schedule features four home games at Memorial Stadium as the Mustangs take on Texas A&M-Kingsville on Sep. 24, Tarleton State on Oct. 8, Abilene Christian on Oct. 22 and West Texas A&M on Nov. 5.

The cost for season reserve seats is $55, while general admission season tickets are set at $25.

Game times are set for 7 p.m. for the Texas A&M-Kingsville and Tarleton State matchups, while the Homecoming game against Abilene Christian has been moved back to 8 p.m. due to the annual UIL Region II West Zone marching contest. The final regular season home game against West Texas A&M kicks off at 2 p.m.

Fans may also purchase tickets for the Lone Star Football Festival at the MSU Ticket Office at a cost of $25 for adults and $10 for students. Parking passes are also available for $10 each.

Each ticket holder gains admission into each of the three games in the festival as MSU takes on Texas A&M-Commerce at noon, then Abilene Christian battles North Alabama at 4 p.m. and West Texas A&M plays Texas A&M-Kingsville at 8 p.m.

A limited number of suite tickets are also available at a cost of $125. For more information, contact MSU Athletics at (940) 397-4779.

All Lone Star Football Festival games will be played at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.

The Mustangs have posted 10 consecutive winning seasons including a 37-9 record at Memorial Stadium since the Bill Maskill era began in 2002. MSU has won its last 12 regular season home games.

Tickets will be available on MSUTicketsOnline.com in the coming weeks.

Critics say the NFL's decision to force players to stand during the national anthem if on the field say the policy prioritizes the league's mainstream appeal over athletes.
