Fire Crews Battled Three Separate Wildfires Near Electra

Several fire crews battled three separate wildfires Monday afternoon.

Electra, Iowa Park and Punkin Center firefighters were able to get the blazes under control. The blazes sparked near the intersection of FM 1789 and FM 2384 north, near Electra.

The fires were about two to three miles apart from each other. One of the blazes burned about 5 to 6 acres. Another fire about a half mile down, burned about 1 to 2 acres. And the biggest fire burned several acres.

Electra police and sheriff's deputies were also on the scene working to get drivers around the blazes.
