Verizon Ending Unlimited Data Plans

Verizon Wireless users won't have unlimited data plans for much longer. The company will move toward a usage-based model starting next month.

A spokeswoman for the carrier says these pricing adjustments will be "minor." People who are already under contract will not be affected by this yet.

AT&T was the first company to drop its unlimited plans for smartphone users last summer. Last month T-mobile did the same.

Once Verizon follows suit, Sprint will be the only major carrier in the U.S. to offer customers unlimited data.
