Burkburnett's Chafin Commits to Baylor

Texoma has another Division-I athlete.

Burkburnett's Devin Chafin has verbally committed to play football at Baylor.

The Bulldogs' star running back ran for 1,145 yards and twelve touchdowns this year as the Bulldogs made the playoffs despite a rough non-district campaign.

They finished 3-8 after losing to Abilene Wylie in the Bi-District round.

Chaffin also was strong in track, winning the Region I-3A 100-meter title this spring.

He had received interest from Colorado State, North Texas and TCU, but decided on Art Briles' Bears.

He still can't officially sign his National Letter of Intent until next the National Signing Day, on February 1st.
