Wichita Falls Girls Wins Weightlifting Title

Thirteen-year-old Neiman Wickline won the 14-15 Girls (58 kg) Division at the USAW National School-Age Weightlifting Championships near Atlanta, Georgia.

She was successful on all six of her attempts in the championship.

In the Snatch event, she lifted 53, 55 and 57 kilograms (about 116, 121 and 125 pounds) in succession, then in the Clean & Jerk she lifted 64 kg (141 lbs), 67 kg (147 lbs) and 69 kg (152 lbs).

The Total score is the combination of the highest weight in each event, and her total of 126 kg (277 lbs) won her the Barwise Jr High student a gold medal for the second straight year.
