Sailors Set Sail Off Lake Nocona

Sailors set sail off Lake Nocona Saturday afternoon for its 18th year of the Lake Nocona Yacht Club's Sailboat Regatta.  This annual event draws sailors from across the state.  At 11am the first big boats race began followed by the sail of small boats.  The proceeds go to a very good cause.

"This is one of the largest fundraisers for our fire department and I know they appreciate it and it's good for the community.  It gets people out, promotes sailing and everybody has a good time," said Bill Crowe with the Sailboat Regatta.

Winners get bragging rights and a silver cup.  Organizers say the event gets bigger every year.
