Wichita Falls City Council Briefs

The City of Wichita Falls will be doing reappraisals on homes damaged or destroyed in the April wildfires.
City Councilors met Tuesday and approved the action.
Officials say this will help provide property tax relief for the affected homeowners for the 2011 tax year.
14 properties inside City Limits were damaged in the fires, 3 of those are a total loss.
Councilors also approved $14,000 for attorneys to help re-draw districts in the city.
Officials say the 2010 Census shows a 10% or greater shift in population areas in the city, by federal law that means redistricting must occur.
Councilors also repealed the "Catch and Release" restriction that was mandated at South Weeks Park. That means those who fish can now take their catch home.
