FAA To Spend Millions At W.F. Municipal Airport

The Wichita Falls Municipal Airport is set to gain millions of dollars in federal aid.

U.S. Senator John Cornyn announced Tuesday that the Federal Aviation Administration will give the airport $5.8 million in grant funds. The money will be used to help pay for runway improvements.

Sen. Cornyn said, "These funds will be used to address needed maintenance and safety improvements at Sheppard AFB/Wichita Falls Municipal Airport. In addition, quality transportation services are important for boosting local economic growth. I commend the area leaders who worked to secure this funding."
