Blacksox to Open Mattingly State Tournament

The Don Mattingly Texas State Tournament will be in Burkburnett again this year, where the Blacksox 17U-Black team won last year to advance to the national tournament

They took the national title last year at the Don Mattingly World Series in New Mexico.

This year there will be two Blacksox teams in the five-team tournament, one each from Burkburnett and Tulsa.

Action will start Thursday morning at 10 a.m. with the Burkburnett team against Frozen Ropes-Senf from McKinney.

Then the Tulsa Blacksox will open up against the DBAT Mustangs out of Dallas at 1 p.m., with more games throughout the day.
