Sunday Prayers For Rain In Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Gov. Mary Fallin wants Oklahomans to pray for rain on Sunday.

Fallin said in a statement yesterday that the ongoing drought has helped contribute to more than 140 wildfires this year, resulting in the loss of dozens of homes. Yesterday Fallin signed an executive order issuing a burn ban in 45 counties.

The statement also notes that a lack of rainfall has led to significant hardships in the agricultural sector.
