Grass Fire In Burkburnett Destroys RV, Damages Storage Units

Burkburnett police are trying to find the cause of a large grass fire.
It started at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Carnes and Gilbert roads.

The Burk volunteer fire chief says a large RV was completely destroyed and two storage units it was up against were damaged.

He believes about five to seven acres of grass were also burned.

While some homes were in danger from the fire, crews were able to get the blaze under control before it got to them.

No injuries were reported.

Fire Investigator Sgt. Lahoma Vaughn said the damage is going to be expensive.  The  RV alone is about $100,000.
