East Wins 6-Man Football All-Star Game

The Texas Six-Man Coaches Association held its Division II All-Star game Friday night at Tiger Stadium in Wolfforth.

Harrold's Craig Templeton coached the East team to a 66-53 victory. The East jumped out to a 32-0 lead and held on to win.

Templeton brought along a pair of his Hornet players, Ethan Cato and Ethan Herring, while Newcastle's Paul Martinez also played.

Saturday night in the Division I All-Star game, Saint Jo quarterback Shaden Clark will lead an East team also featuring Throckmorton's Gage King and Taylor Hardy and Knox City's Zach Shaver.

Also this weekend, former O'Brien HS coach C.H. Underwood will be inducted to the Six-Man Football Hall of Fame. Coach Underwood played and coached at the former O'Brien High School, leading the Bulldogs to the first-ever Texas Six-Man state championship in 1972.
