MSU's Eskridge Signs With Cowboys

Former MSU quarterback Zack Eskridge, undrafted in this year's NFL Draft, signed a free-agent contract with the Dallas Cowboys Tuesday, on the first day after the league's lockout ended.

The team's website announced his signing.

He is expected to be the fourth quarterback in training camp, which starts with practice Thursday in San Antonio.

Eskridge threw for nearly 7,000 yards as a Mustang, leaving as the school's all-time leader in passing yards, touchdown passes, completions, pass attempts, completion percentage, pass efficiency rating, 300-yard passing games and 200-yard passing games.

The TCU transfer has connections to the Cowboys, as his grandfather Jack Eskridge was the team's original equipment manager, and the team invited him to their Dallas Day workouts in April.
