Update: Holliday's Stewart Traded to White Sox, Promoted to AAA

Holliday High School graduate Zach Stewart was traded by the Toronto Blue Jays to the Chicago White Sox Wednesday, along with reliever Jason Frasor, for pitcher Edwin Jackson and third baseman Mark Teahen.

Toronto then traded Jackson to St. Louis along with several other players for OF Colby Rasmus and pitchers Brian Tallet and P.J. Walters.

Stewart made his Major League debut this season for the Blue Jays, going 0-1 with a 4.86 ERA in three starts. He struck out 10 and walked five in 16 2/3 innings.

He will be assigned to Class AAA Charlotte, where he will start for the Knights Sunday against the Durham Bulls.

In 16 starts at AA New Hampshire, he was 5-5 with a 4.20 ERA.
