Firefighters Battle Flames Near Hobart Oklahoma

In Oklahoma, A Kiowa county official said a grass fire that forced the evacuation of two church camps and closed two state highways near Hobart, was still going strong on Thursday.

Kiowa County's Emergency Management Director said the fire has been fueled by winds and acres of dry grass and trees. Ten Departments, and a helicopter are all working to battle the large flames that forced 400 evacuees to spend the night at an area church.

No injuries were reported. The wildfire has been burning in the Quartz Mountain area since Monday. Officials believe lightning is to blame.
