We're still months away from Christmas, but in Clay County they're already gearing up the holiday. The first annual Christmas in July event brought in 38 area vendors for an indoor arts and crafts show. From jewelry, home decor, to photography some people came in to buy for themselves or stock up for Christmas. It was held at the Clay County Memorial Hospital and all the money raised from the event will go to benefit the patients of the hospital.
"We have things that you can't get normally in small town community hospitals and we have enough people around to serve the needs but also to keep it friendly and on a very informal basis so we can help people out that way," said Phillis Kennedy with the Clay County Hospital Auxiliary.
