Suspect In "Hit & Run" Accident Treated For Head Wound, Arrested

A Texoma man has been charged with intoxication assault, accused of hitting two victims in a Jeep with his vehicle before driving off.

Wichita Falls Police say around 9:30 PM on August 02, they were waved down in the 3500 block of Kell West, where they were told about a "hit and run." Two occupants in a Jeep told police a driver in a Tundra rear-ended them before continuing to drive off in the 2800 block of Kell West. They told police the driver exited the vehicle on Kell West before taking off on foot.

Other witnesses told police they saw a man, 30-year-old Ryan Michael Howard, walking down the 3000 block of Lawrence with a head wound. He was taken to the hospital for medical treatment, and later identified as the suspect in the "hit and run." He was arrested and taken to jail for intoxication assault. Reports show he was under the influence of alcohol.

The driver of the Jeep suffered a broken arm, and the passenger was complaining of neck pain.
