Byers Forced to Cancel Football Season

The Byers Hornets have been forced to cancel their 2011 Football season due to a lack of numbers.

Last week the school held a basketball scrimmage and social, intended to help recruit new players for the team, but not enough could be found.

As of the 2010 UIL reclassification, Byers High School had an enrollment count of 37, making it one of the smallest among football-playing schools.
