CSU Coach: Clubb Will Play This Year

Ex-Iowa Park quarterback Lee Clubb will be seeing the field this season up at Colorado State.

On Wednesday Rams head coach Steve Fairchild revealed in his daily press conference that Clubb will play this season as a true freshman wide receiver.

When asked about the possibility of any true freshman getting playing time, Fairchild said, "I like both our freshman wide receivers (Charles Lovett and Lee Clubb). They will play; I can make that decision right now."

Clubb has received mention almost every day of camp on the CSU Football training camp blog, run by the school's athletic department.

Between running and passing, Clubb racked up a total of 36 touchdowns his senior year at Iowa Park.

He was drafted by Major League Baseball's Kansas City Royals in the 27th round of the 2011 MLB Draft, but decided to attend CSU instead.
