Report: Texas A&M to SEC a "Done Deal"

A report by says that Texas A&M has already accepted a deal to leave the Big 12 for the SEC, pending a vote that could come as soon as August 22nd.

The majority of other beat writers who cover the Aggies for various outlets have said that the report is premature, and that there is no done deal just yet, however most of them are also saying that a deal is still very possible, and could still happen by the 22nd.

With the Big 12 already down to ten teams, losing another one could be the last stake in the heart of the conference.

Earlier Thursday, conference commissioner Dan Beebe said the league could continue with nine teams for at least a few years, and possibly look to add another Texas team such as SMU or Houston.
