Wilbarger Health Expo Gives Citizens Free Access To Screenings

A well being health expo at Wilbarger General Hospital gave citizens free access to screenings.  From 10 until noon professionals gathered together and offered the public free health screenings. This is the first year and organizers hope they can catch any early on-set of diabetes or heart problems.

"If you can catch it early there's a lot more things you can do as far as diet-driven to help.  If we can do that and catch it early we definitely can help you do something to go and change your life and the quality of that life," said Wilbarger General Hospital CEO, Jonathon Voelkel.

A doctor at a nearby clinic reports that he has noticed an increase in diabetes cases in this region.
