Man Charged For Breaking Into A Vacant Apartment Building

A single arrest in Wichita Falls may lead police to around two dozen copper theft related offenses.

Police saw Robert Dale Hallmark, 34, in the 300 block of Avenue K Wednesday afternoon near a vacant apartment building.

Police said Hallmark parked his vehicle behind the property.

Officers said he had a backpack with what appeared to be tubing sticking out. He then placed the items in his van.

Officers saw broken windows on the apartment building. Officers said they saw copper missing from AC units and water heater.

A police patrol unit stopped his vehicle.

Hallmark was placed under arrest and taken to the Wichita County Jail. He is charged with Burglary of a Habitation.
