Dedication Ceremony For Texoma Fire Truck

A local Volunteer Fire Department welcomed in a new team member. Friberg-Cooper held a dedication ceremony for their new fire truck. At 10am firefighters along with County Judge Woody Gossom and Sheriff David Duke gathered together. The truck has many features, including a 1,000 gallon tank on hand and several hoses. Officials call it a 3-in1 truck because it can do many things.

"It's a very important truck to us because it will do multiple tasks for us. It will do structure fires, house fires, it'll do grass fires and we can run it as a tanker too," said Fire Chief William Norris.

The department received a grant from the Texas Forestry Service to help pay for the truck, but the department still has $3,000 to fork over. They would appreciate any donations and you can drop it off or mail it in at 315 Bailey Road.
